I've recently wanted to branch into new posts on my website, by focusing on brands, projects, events, and things that interest me in general. I often find my self immersed in new content or returning to old favorites. I wanted to start sharing thing's I like and hope someone else like's them too? Starting with a website that personally always been a favorite of mine.
I first got brought into the magic, that is Google's Art and Culture section from one of my all time favorite TED Talks. At TED2016, Amit Sood gave his talk Every piece of art you've ever wanted to see -- up close and searchable. I highly recommend this talk because it is truly captivating. It was my first experience with this technology, to be able to search through pieces of art, artists, time periods, collections. It makes all art accessible. I watched this talk about the time I had finished my 2016 Resolution to visit 16 museums (I actually visited 24!). After viewing so many collections, I love to be able to review all of the different collections and artists. I am also the type of person who LOVES audio tours in museums, it's my vice. I personally prefer to visit museums solo, so an audio tour gives you that experience whether you are visiting in a group or not.
The next feature I love, is the Art Palette. It begins with a great video clip explaining the process. Essentially you can change the color palette to reflect the changes. This feature is extremely interactive and such an amazing way to sort art. I often find myself trying new combinations and notice trends amongst each color I add.
So, this is the first highlight of a project I'll be sharing more thoughts on campaigns and projects.
// Stay tuned for more.
