take a look around & let me know what you think.
My love for advertising and communication has encouraged me to create a platform to share all of my ideas, it's my way of connecting my professional side with the things that get me out of bed each morning. This site is where I have turned all of my loves of traveling, cooking (&eating), photography, and keeping up with new trends and styles into a snapshot for you to read. I'm constantly finding new things to feature so I thought I'd take a moment to explain how this all works. Most of my content is available under my journal section, it's where you can keep up with what I'm currently seeing, doing, and thinking. You can follow the rest of my adventures through travels, eats, and projects (coming soon).
Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: Over the past few years I've really been able to hone in on what my style is. My favorite game to play is Urban Outfitters or my grandmother's closet, and can honestly say its hard to tell which is the origin for most of my favorite pieces. I gravitate to warm tones, experiment with different fabrics and textures and can always be found in a pair of blue jeans.
Q: What are you reading?
A: I have a love-hate relationship with my commute to work, and one of the parts I love is the 40 minutes I get to spend reading each morning and evening. I am currently reading Farenheit451, but some of my favorite books I've read this summer have been Big Magic, Americanah, and The Girls.
Q: What are some brands you love?
A: Unlike most millennials, I'm extremely brand loyal. Some of my favorite brands are Urban Outfitters, Refinery29, Uniqlo, Herschel, Swell, Glossier, By Chloe, and Apple.
Q: Where are you itching to visit?
A: On a personal note, my dream is to be able to connect in person with my family in Algeria. Growing up, having an immigrant parent always meant that most of my family lived oversees. I long for the day my sister and I can reconnect with them now that I'm older.
Some of my top destinations would be eating street food in Bangkok, exploring the neon streets of Tokyo, and hiking Machu Picchu.
Q: Do you have a dream city to live in?
A: I can truly say I live in my dream city, even though it doesn't seem real that I live in New York. I've dreamed of living here for as long as I can remember, it's the hub of advertising and where my sister lives. So, it's a natural connection.
Now, the new dream is to move to London or Dublin in a few years. Since living in Dublin in fall 2016, I've been plotting my return to the British Isles.
Q: Favorite foods?
A: I have an unhealthy love for spicy food, its my vice! My favorite type of food is Thai, for as long as I can remember my family has always gone for Thai food: special occasion, Friday night, take out - it's Thai. I credit my family's love for exotic food for turning me in to an amateur foodie. I love cooking and entertaining, if any of my creations last long enough for photos I'll update you.
Q: Current anthem?
A: I would have to go with Walk Away by HAIM, I could listen to their sophomore album, Something To Tell You, all day. I recently jumped in the car with a friend and drove to Atlanta for their Sister Sister Tour. When they announced they were going on tour with Lizzo, I instantly bought two tickets and decided I'd figure it out when it got closer.
However, you can usually find me listening to Hamilton, one album can be my anthem, right?
Q: Latest obsessions?
A: I'm really into stationary, anything matcha flavored, industrial architecture, farmers markets, sharing ideas, and reality television.
